Kees Goossens's MTB and other stuff
Here are a number of mountain bike routes in The Netherlands, Italy, and Wales as a Garmin gdb data base and a Google earth kmz overlay.Here are some tracks from a recent holiday in Val di Fassa in the Italian Dolomites.
Mac OS X 10.6 running Xcode 4.0.1 with matlab/simulink R2010b don't play well together.
Run mex -setup and mbuild -setup to generate~/.matlab/R2010b/mexopts.sh and ~/.matlab/R2010b/mbuildopt.sh.
In those files, change
SDKROOT='/Developer/SDKs/MacOSX10.5.sdk' MACOSX_DEPLOYMENT_TARGET='10.5'to
SDKROOT='/Developer-old/SDKs/MacOSX10.6.sdk' MACOSX_DEPLOYMENT_TARGET='10.6'
Running (Parallels) virtual machines on Mac OS X can cause serious defragmentation, resulting in a very slow computer. Give the VM a fixed-size (i.e. not expanding) virtual hard disk. If necessary defragment (the real file system, not the virtual one) afterwards. This resulted in huge performance improvements for me, both on iMac and PowerBook. I use iDefrag (which gives a nice explanation why all this happens).
